My Approaches image
My approach to therapy is one that is research-based in order to provide the best quality of care. I take a mind-body approach as it is important for clients to learn how to recognize where they carry stress in order to take care of their needs. I use a variety of techniques such as:

  • Cognitive Behavior Therapy
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Strength-Based focus
  • Somatic techniques
  • Hypnotherapy / Clinical Hypnosis
  • And more to support individual needs of a client.

I provide a safe and nonjudgmental space to everyone so that no one has to feel like they have to hold anything back. I practice a collaborative approach with all of my clients. Just because I am a therapist does not mean I know everything! I want to learn from you as much as I want to provide you the tools and resources to overcome your struggles.

I ask all my clients to provide feedback after sessions to make sure you are getting something out of every time we meet. I provide custom treatment plans in order to meet your goals so you feel heard and validated. I provide you with tasks (e.g., "homework" as some would say but I think it has a bad connotation and sounds too much like school) to practice outside of sessions as a way to improve your skill building and to continue the hard work you have been doing in sessions.

I am LGBTQIA+ affirming, sex-worker allied, anti-racist and health at every size (HAES) therapist. I am gaining knowledge of poly, ethical non-monogamy, and kink communities!
