Trauma and PTSD

“As a lotus flower is born in water, grows in water and rises out of water to stand above it unsoiled, so I, born in the world, raised in the world having overcome the world, live unsoiled by the world.”

- Buddha.

Life can feel out of control even when you think you have everything together.

Most people who start therapy for Trauma and PTSD feel like they are lost in an abyss, stuck in a never ending cycle of disappointment and pain. Maybe you feel like there is no point in trying to push through the pain or you just want to give up.

Trauma can have a delayed impact on many individuals. Often time, it can show up in adulthood and make life feel like it is upside down. Often times, people come to me and say "it happened years ago" or "I thought I healed". Unfortunately, trauma is not a quick "get over it".

Do any of the following experiences sound like you? If so, maybe it is time to reach out and learn how to manage your symptoms. I want to help you learn how to take back control and not be tied to big emotions forever.

  • Do you have moments where you are reliving the traumatic event?
  • Do you struggle with emotional distress or physical reactions to thing that remind you of the past?
  • Do you feel like you are always on edge or waiting for the other shoe to drop?
  • Do you feel stuck or like time has stopped?
  • You struggle with maintaining close relationships out of fear of something bad happening.
  • You feel detached from yourself or important people in your life.

It takes courage to come to the conclusion that you need help with the past. It is awesome that you were able to take the first step! I bet you tried so many things previously, only to feel like you have failed. That could not be further from the truth! I can help you develop stronger skills to finally take control of your life and not be tied down to these things any longer. Please reach out to start your healing journey!
